THREE members of Ballymena JDC Academy have been selected to compete in the WDF Europe Youth Cup in July in Holland.

They are Thomas Elliott, Jacob Todd and Leo Jamieson.

The talented young trio will be representing Northern Ireland in the July 16-19 tournament.

Earlier in the month the lads, who are based at Ballymena Bowling Club, qualified for the NI team, along with Sam Graham (16), from Portadown.

Ruth Bell (15), also from Portadown, and Amber O’Toole (12) from Larne, make up the team.

NI will be led by manager Dave Heasley, who runs the County Armagh Youth Darts Academy.

This is the first time a Girls team from the Province will be competing in the WDF Europe Cup.

Ballymena man Aaron Todd, who is head coach at the Ballymena JDC, is delighted three of his players have made the NI team.

Debuts

It will be debuts at such a level for Leo (13) and Thomas (13).

Thomas has been in top form winning a number of titles, including the Ballymena Bowl which was held to celebrate Ballymena JDC’s first anniversary.

Meanwhile, this will be Jacob’s second time in the competition. He has just turned 16-years-old.

The team will be led by manager Dave Heasley who runs the County Armagh Youth Darts Academy.
