United fans to pay 21st minute tribute to Lydia

Ballymena United fans will mark the passing of young fan, Lydia Ross, by staging a minute’s applause at Mourneview Park tomorrow.

Sky Blue fans spread the word of the tribute to Lydia, who died as the result of an accident on Thursday, via social media.

A supporter posted: “If you're going to the game at Mourneview Park tomorrow please help to pay tribute to Lydia and support the Ross family by taking part in a minute's applause after 21 minutes have been played.”

Earlier, her father, Paul Ross, had posted on social media: “Last night our beautiful daughter, Princess Lydia, was killed in a car accident. Words can’t describe how we are feeling. (Lydia) was my match going companion with Ballymena United every Saturday, this was out last selfie on Boxing Day.”
