On behalf of the Rotary Club of Ballymena, sincere thanks to everyone who helped make our fundraising table quiz event at the Barn, Galgorm Golf Club a huge success.
Every penny raised will go towards helping not only local charities, but also to eradicate Polio in the world, and to enable us to play our role as humanitarians by providing Shelter Boxes to regions affected by natural calamities.
The Rotary Club of Ballymena would like to thank Georgie Briota, Business Development Manager for Galgorm Collection, who is also a Corporate Rotarian with Ballymena Rotary Club for supporting us by not only providing an excellent venue to hold our Table Quiz, but also for the provision of a Quiz master and Quiz markers, light food and their generous donation of two Table Quiz winner prizes and two fabulous raffle prizes.
We would also like to thank all the staff at the Barn on that night who worked hard in ensuring that everyone who came through the door for the quiz were accommodated, which meant providing additional tables and chairs, reaching their more than 145 maximum capacities.
The Rotary Club of Ballymena are also indebted to many businesses within and the outskirts of the town of Ballymena, as well as from Belfast and Enniskillen for providing very generous fantastic raffle prizes. We pay special thanks to the following businesses:
1. Philip Kenny from Ballymena Foot Clinic
2. Sean Madden from Crown Paints Ireland
3. Alaistair from Hillstown Farm Shop
4. David from Killyhevlin Lakeside hotel, Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh
5. Rotary Club of Lisburn
6. Ronny McFall from Tesco, Ballymena
7. Alastair Gilmore from Wyse Bye, Church Street, Ballymena
We would like to thank all Rotarians, their family and friends who not only attended the table quiz but also for all their help and support behind the scenes in numerous ways.
