The Dogs Trust Ballymena team is currently caring for 70 dogs in its rehoming centre and within a network of volunteer foster carers. The rehoming centre has 50 kennels, along with excellent facilities including a training barn, woodland walks, and a large exercise field.

Kirsty Mark, Supporter Relations Officer at Dogs Trust Ballymena, said: "We are so excited to be opening our doors to provide dog lovers with a unique doggy experience on this Halloween Experience Day.
Attendees will be given a behind-the-scenes tour of our centre, enjoy a cuppa with staff, and, of course, the stars of the show will be the boo-tiful dogs that are in our care, waiting to be adopted.
Visitors can also assist staff with creating fun enrichment activities for our dogs for the firework season. We look forward to welcoming visitors who are interested in our work, our dogs and are keen to learn more about life at Dogs Trust Ballymena. We promise a fur-ightfully fun morning that’ll lift your spirits, and maybe even make you fall under the spell of one of our adorable residents "
Dogs Trust Ballymena is open to the public five days a week, and you don’t need an appointment to visit them, meet dogs looking for homes, get advice or apply to adopt.
As every dog is unique, finding the perfect match can take anything from a few weeks to several months. You only need to apply once every three months, and the charity will do all it can to find the right dog for you, however long it takes.
Please note that while many of you would love to meet all the Dogs Trust dogs, it may not always be possible during the tour. Some dogs may be reserved and awaiting their forever homes, others might be undergoing medical or training assessments, or some may simply need time to adjust and settle in.
