BALLYMENA Baby Bank (formerly Baby Basics Ballymena) has been operating for five years since September 2020.

The organisation started during Covid with the aim of supporting new mums in vulnerable or crisis circumstances around Ballymena.

Ballymena Baby Bank provides each new mum with a Moses basket filled with a new born starter pack including baby clothes, nappies, toiletries, blankets and toys.

They can also provide baths if required and other specific items. Each mum also receives a filled toiletry bag. Every item given away is donated by supporters with referrals being made by professionals working alongside the families.

On 17th September the group celebrated their fifth birthday with an event for all our referrers which is a great chance to continue to highlight the work of Ballymena Baby Bank and reflect on how far we have come.

They are based at Ballymena Baptist Church with the belief that all children are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139.14). The group said: “We hope this practical ministry continues to show God's love in action in our town.
