RADIO Cracker are really looking forward to their 2025 broadcast, but before they go on-air for another year, they have a few fundraisers planned.
First up is their annual TABLE QUIZ on 26th September in BALLYMENA RUGBY CLUB at 7:30pm. £5 per person and teams of up to six.
Why not get your team organized and go along for a great night’s fun and quizzing!
If you don’t have a team, come along anyway for an evening’s fun as they’ll soon get you into a Radio Cracker team!
For those who enjoy dancing, there’s the annual TEA DANCE taking place on Thursday 16th October in Carnlea Orange Hall from 2-4pm.
Also their COUNTRY CONCERT is coming up on Tuesday 2nd December at 8pm in Leighinmohr House Hotel.
This is always a great night of local country music in a beautiful venue. Artists this year are Radio Cracker’s own Billy McFarland, Andrew McMurdie, Niamh McGlinchey, Allan McCullough and Tracey McAuley.
Backing will be by Dave Lee Country and the compere is Radio Cracker’s Craig Whyte.
As many readers may have already noticed, the RADIO CRACKER SHOP has been open every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. If you haven’t called in with them already, why don’t you drop in the next time you’re in town? It’s on Wellington Street, just to the right of the main Tower Centre entrance (the old Shoe Zone unit) The shop is packed with lots of pre-loved goods, knitted items and so much more.
A good selection of Christmas stock will soon be available too. Some great bargains to be had! It’s open from 9:30am – 2pm every Wed, Thurs and Friday.
Radio Cracker say, “We’re so looking forward to another year of fundraising for very worthy causes, but your support is crucial to us! Without the businesses who advertise on the station and sponsor shows, etc and the organizations, schools and individuals who support us financially and in other ways, we wouldn’t be able to achieve what we do. A special mention to the Tower Centre for the fantastic space this year again for the shop and studio.
“Also, to Choice Housing for a magnificent grant so we could purchase some much-needed studio equipment.
“So, we are asking that once again the communities in Ballymena and beyond get behind us as we raise funds to bring hope and a better future to many around the world. Thank you.
And don’t forget to call into the shop or attend some of our fundraisers, and we look forward to being back on-air again on 27th November!”
