THE Hub in Cullybackey has been buzzing with creative activities all over the summer including knitting, sewing, craft, card making and stone painting. This project is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.

The Hub hosts ongoing knitting and card making classes each week throughout the year. There is fantastic talent and participants have made and continue to make a fantastic selection of items such as knitted cardigans, dishcloths and amazing handmade cards. These are available to buy in the gift shop at The Hub. We also held a stone painting class which proved great fun, some lovely designs and a chance to chat!

Joanne Brown Kerr commented:-“We are so grateful to everyone who calls into The Hub, takes part in activities or just comes in for a chat or to buy a gift. The Hub has been a fantastic way to meet lots of different people and be able to chat about all the things going on in the area. I am always amazed by how talented everyone else, producing amazing products and we always welcome new people to our classes”

These events are funded under the Community Lottery Fund and are part of a wide range of projects targeting older people living in the Bannside area of Ballymena including a monthly Lunch & Learn Club, Breakfast Club, Workshops, Advice and signposting and a Community Hub with a Gift Shop where profits go back into our local communities.

If you are interested in any of the above call into The Hub Gift Shop which is open Mon to Fri 9am to 3.30pm, email admin@bannmaine
