Local man Brian Doherty got the opportunity to meet future guide dog puppy Chloe this week, who he named through his generous donations to the charity Guide Dogs NI.

Brian, who has retinitis pigmentosa, has less than 10% functional vision, and knows the importance of these life-changing dogs for someone in Northern Ireland Living with a visual impairment.”

NI Community Fundraising Manager Gary Wilson says, "Over the past eight years Brian has raised over £40,000 for Guide Dogs, and we couldn’t be more excited that Brian got the chance to meet this very special puppy who will one day change the life of someone with a visual impairment.

“If any individual or business wishes to name a pup I would encourage them to get in touch”

Gary can be contacted at 07468 712007 or Gary.Wilson@guidedogs.org.uk
