BALLYMENA United are giving their support to this year’s Jingle All The Way fund raiser for Childrens’ Hospice Northern Ireland.
The Management Committee were delighted to welcome Catherine O’Hara and Muriel Barr to present on behalf of the Ballymena Support Group of NI Hospice.
A very moving presentation was reciprocated by a pledge that United will support the charity this season in the run up to their second Jingle All The Way fun day on Saturday November 24.
“We encourage everyone to get behind the Jingle All The Way 2018 campaign through their Facebook page,” said United Community Relations Officer Iain Black,
“The Hospice is a place that some Ballymena United supporters will have had direct contact with, most will have heard of, but all of us will have been affected by the issues they deal with on a daily basis,” outlined Iain.
“That reality was brought home when Muriel and Catherine gave their presentation about Jingle All The Way to the management committee at the Showgrounds.”
Iain continued - “ Having listened to the stories and watched the videos of families affected, there’s no way that the football club could turn round and not support such a good cause.
“The money raised last year was phenomenal, and we want to be part of a big push to help the Hospice support group break that total this year”.
Jingle All The Way was officially launched at The Braid (Town Hall) in Ballymena last Tuesday night.
Last year over £50,000 was raised.
Sporting clubs, groups, organisations and individuals are invited to run an event to raise funds for the cause.
Response has been encouraging so far with many of those wishing to take part attending the launch.
Any clubs wishing to get involved should contact Catherine or Muriel and get signed up - email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org
Catherine’s contact number is 07515 063303 and Muriel’s is 07921 558368.
The Jingle All The Way fun day is in Ballymena on November 24!
Harmony Hub (Band Stand) and Wellington Court will have stalls and other entertainment throughout the day.
And the site adjacent to Harmony Hub will also be base for other fund raising stalls.
