The Mayor of Mid and East Antrim is hosting a special charity ball in March to raise vital funds for her chosen cause of the year, Air Ambulance Northern Ireland.

The black tie event will be held in the spectacular surroundings of the Great Hall at Galgorm Resort and Spa and will aim to raise as much funds as possible for the Mayor’s charity.

Tickets for the special evening which takes place on 1 March are £50pp and can be booked online, in person, by post or by telephone.

There will be an ‘Air Ambulance red’ carpet followed by drinks on arrival, a delicious four-course meal featuring local produce, and a live band.

The entertainment will also include an auction and a ballot.

Mayor Cllr Lindsay Millar commented: “I’m really pleased and proud to be supporting such an invaluable cause during my term.

“Air Ambulance NI provides a vital service and helps save lives, but is a voluntary organisation which needs support.

“This charity ball and auction is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the fantastic work they do at AANI and to help raise vital funds they need to maintain the service.

“It’s also a great chance to let my hair down and celebrate a fantastic year as Mayor of Mid and East Antrim, all for a great cause. The night promises to be great craic!”

Michelle McDaid, Area Fundraising Manager, AANI said: “We were delighted to be chosen as the Mayor’s charity for 2018/2019.

“We have been operational for just over one year and to date our helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) has been tasked to over 550 trauma incidents across our region.

“The support from this partnership will not only raise our profile and awareness but also much needed funds to keep this vital service sustained.”
