Police are appealing for witnesses following an arson attack on a house in the Hazelwood Drive area of Ballymena, at around 3.35am Thursday 4th October.

Extensive damage was caused to the property and two people were treated in hospital for smoke inhalation and cuts.

Enquiries are continuing at this stage and police would appeal to anyone with any information or who saw any suspicious persons or vehicles in the Hazelwood Drive area to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 151 04/10/18. Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.
