Mid and East Antrim Borough Council is currently investigating a sheep worrying incident which occurred in the early hours of Monday 24 September in the Rathkeel Road area of Moorfields, Ballymena.
This attack has resulted in 13 sheep being killed with others injured. A black terrier-type dog, which the investigating officer believes is connected to the attack, is still present in the area.
“Council would ask that both the farming community and pet owners in the area remain vigilant. Anyone who witnesses a stray dog matching this description or has further information that may assist in our investigation is asked to contact the senior enforcement officer on 028 25 633 120.
