Ballymena Amateur Dramatic Ad Hoc Theatre Group is bringing Agatha Christie's 'A Murder is Announced' to the Braid Theatre, Ballymena for this year's Summer Theatre production.

An announcement in the local paper states that a murder is to occur in Miss Blacklock’s home.

No one knows who the victim will be. Inspector Craddock and Miss Marple try to unravel the crime looking out for red herrings while trying to solve the mystery.

What follows is a classic Christie puzzle of mixed motives, concealed identities, a second death, a determined Inspector and a Miss Marple on hand to provide the final solution at some risk to herself.

Director Christine Clark said: "I chose this play because it has a number of dramatic events that keep the play moving .

“I also liked the strong role of the lead Mrs Blacklock.

“ The process has been a great learning curve for me and the cast have made it much easier as they've been working very hard and brought ideas to the creative process I hadn't thought of.

“It's been a wonderful team effort."

Christine paid tribute to the dedication of her cast, who she said gave up their valuable evenings to come to rehearsals sometimes three times a week on top of their normal jobs. Hopefully people will come to the Braid to see the fruits of their labours!

The mystery will be solved (hopefully) from Friday 7th and Saturday 8th of September 2018 at 7.30pm. Tickets £8 Concessions £6
