THE Ballymena Local Committee for Cancer Research UK would like to thank local woman Linda McCullough for her support.
Linda recently hosted an evening of fun and friendship for family and friends at her home in Rathkenny. Montgomery’s of Ballymoney Street came along and prepared a Hog roast which went down well with all who attended!
Linda decided to support Cancer Research UK as she feels very lucky that she has a healthy family when others have been hit with illnesses such as cancer
A cheque for £600 was presented to Vice chairperson Rosemary McCrindle and Treasurer Dorothy McKeown who were delighted to receive the large donation.
Rosemary added: “As a committee we rely on the generosity of the public to help us contribute as much money as possible to the life-saving work of Cancer Research UK. Cancer Research UK are the largest charitable funder of Cancer Research here in Northern Ireland spending almost £3million here last year.
“We are delighted that we played a part in that but we cannot do that without the support of the public.
“We are so grateful to the public and people like Linda who help us in the quest to beat cancer sooner.”
