FOLLOWING the success of last year’s Summer Carnival in Ballymena, the exciting and fun-filled family day out returns to the town centre on Saturday, August 25.
The FREE one-day event, organised by Ballymena Business Improvement District (BID), will take place in Bryan Street, Wellington Court, the new ‘Harmony Hub’ and surrounding areas from 12pm to 4pm with something for everyone to enjoy.
With a wide range of on-street entertainment including carnival games and crafts, face painting, fun characters, live music, themed attractions and a pet farm, there will be plenty on offer for visitors throughout the day.
Alison Moore, Ballymena BID Manager said: “We are very excited to bring the Summer Carnival back to Ballymena town centre for a second year.
“The event was extremely well received last year and enjoyed by those who attended so we’re determined to make sure this year is bigger and better.
“We love having the opportunity to entertain visitors and the Summer Carnival creates a fantastic atmosphere within the town.”
Alison continued, “Our local retailers and businesses helped to make the Summer Carnival the success it was last year by getting involved either by holding their own promotions and special offers, as well as setting up stalls outside their stores.
“Many businesses also donated prizes for the Roadshow Giveaway with Cool FM and we have some excellent prizes up for grabs this year too!”
The Cool FM Roadshow with presenter Pete Snodden will be live from the Harmony Hub from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
Alison concluded, “Ballymena is the town that has something for everyone and we have no doubt the Summer Carnival will be an upbeat way to celebrate the end of the summer season.
“There will also be lots of live music around the town which we hope everyone will enjoy.
“We are really looking forward to the return of our summer carnival and hope you and your family will come along and enjoy what is going to be a fantastic day.”
