JOHN Morrison’s annual Evening of Praise in support of his ongoing Radio Ministry will be held at Portstewart Town Hall on Friday, August 17, commencing at 8pm.

Compere duties will fall to John himself. Joining him on stage will be James Strange, Joy Boyd, David McBeth, George Graham and gifted Gospel group, Testified.

Remarkably, John Morrison has been broadcasting the Gospel on the radio for 25 years. During that time, he has supplied 18 radio stations across Ireland with Country Gospel programmes – each one with content consisting of good music and an inspirational message from God’s Word.

Recently, John received a letter from a country singer who heard John’s broadcast in Limerick. She was inspired to record a complete Gospel album which she subsequently posted to him.

John broadcasts from Castlebar, Limerick, County Cork and County Donegal and had be heard every day of the week.

Local listeners can find him on Radio North (846 Medium Wave) every Sunday morning at 9am and again at 8.30pm in the evening.

On July 16, a book on Country Music by Kevin Martin. This featured a chapter about John’s Morrison contribution to Country Gospel Music and the influence it has across Ireland.

The event in Portstewart will be the eighteenth of its kind to be held in the seaside town and everyone is welcome to come along.
