IFA SSGs - CARNINY Amateur & Youth small sided games teams at under 8 years fielded two teams.

Friday night will be the final session in this group of IFA run games before Carniny move indoors to Wellington church in preparation for the forthcoming FUTSAL games in December and January.

The Under 8s training at Ballymena Academy school continues over the festive period with a small break over Christmas and the new year.

The Under 16s had to come back three times to earn themselves a draw against an unbeaten Antrim Rovers side.

Ben Logan scored a super strike to equalise.

Antrim took the lead once again before Cydan McGall made it 2-2.

Antrim Rovers went in front again but Bailey Adams found himself on the penalty spot and swivelled round his marker to lob the ball over the keeper.

Carniny were dealt a cruel blow when they were denied a deserved victory after going into a 3-1 lead.

But game was abandoned when the referee went down injured.

Adam Mooney scored all three Carniny goals.

When the referee was unable to come out for the second period the result on the game will be decided by the league committee as to where the points will go.

FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT CENTRE

Only two more sessions remain for the clubs Football Development Centre which caters for the younger members within the club. Last Saturday was a fine morning and the children enjoyed an enjoyable day of football at the St Louis school base. Another set of 10 sessions are being planned for the new year which will be open to currant and new members so keep an eye on the press for details.

Carniny AYFC were delighted to receive continued sponsorship from The Adair Arms Hotel, Ballymena.

Last week Stella Grant, General Manager, of the Adair, presented to club secretary Billy O'Flaherty which will go towards playing kits for next seasons teams.

The local hotel have supported the club over the past four years and their generosity is much appreciated by ALL at the club.
