FC Antrim are through to Round 4 of the Zala Cup, coming from behind to see of Division One side Ballykeel at the Forum.

It was Ballykeel who took a first half lead, slightly against the

run of play.

And that’s how it stayed until the 70th minute when Conor McAuley

cut in from the left, hammering the ball low and hard past the keeper.

Antrim went one better five minutes later, with Stevie Hamilton

crossing for brother John to put the home side in front.

With the net still rippling, Antrim tightened their grip, with

McAuley once more doing the honours – not dissimilar to his first

effort, coming in from the left before cracking the ball across the

keeper.

Antrim added the cherry two minutes from time; 18 year old McAuley

completing his hat trick, getting his head to a free kick from Steven

Bann.

Despite McAuley’s hat trick, FC Antrim’s man of the match, selected

by the referee, went to defender Aaron Scott.

Next Saturday, FC Antrim are at home to North End.

FC Antrim; Cunningham – Scott, Keever, McCashin – O’Boyle

(O’Sullivan), A Donnelly S Donnelly (N McAuley), J Hamilton (Bann), P

Quinn – S Hamilton, C McAuley.
