LOCAL Irish Language and Culture Development Group, Glór Dhal Riada, is ringing in the new year witha fresh term of Irish language and music classes.
It's a brand new year and an opportunity to try something new, learn a new skill or take up a new hobby.
Glór Dhal Riada is on hand with a selection of Irish language and music classes.
The group recently celebrated its 11th year of classes which have continued to grow in popularity since their establishment within the Ballymena and Glenravel Area in April 2008.
The committee’s name is derived from the ancient Gaelic overkingdom of Dal Riada that included north east Ulster and a sizeable portion of western Scotland and its islands.
The committee consists of a dedicated team of five volunteers who are all regular ‘Gaeilgeoirs’ or ‘Irish Speakers’ and who attend and support many Irish language, céilí, music, and other promotional events throughout the year.
All five teachers are experts in their individual areas and some are multi- talented both linguistically and musically.
The group are hosting a new term of their ever popular classes, aimed at all levels, including beginners and the more advanced.
