WELL done to the two Ballymena and Antrim Athletic Club members who competed in the Irish Life National Masters Indoor Championships in Athlone at the weekend.

Paul Lynas was 3rd in the 60m Hurdles M40 age group in a time of 10.44, and also ran 8.27 in the 60m sprint.

Rhonda Brady was 4th in the 800m W45 age group in a time of 2:32.31 narrowly missing out on a medal. Fantastic results buy.

Olympian at Awards Night

* Really nice to see Olympian Maeve Kyle attending last week’s Mid and East Antrim Council Sports Awards evening in Tullyglass House Hotel in Ballymena.

The 90-year-old, and her last husband Sean, both won awards when it was a Ballymena Council run event. And well done to runner Rhonda Brady who was short-listed for this year’s Veterans category at the Awards night.
