Jarlath Falls Wins Stormont Cross Country

THE Cross Country event took place across the grounds of the Stormont Estate and was hosted by the NI Civil Service Athletics Club.

Over 200 athletes competed in the Men Open/Vets 4.4 miles race at Stormont on Saturday. Jarlath crossed the line in 23:21.

In the Junior races Aisling Smith came 2nd out of a field of 22 in the U13 girls.

Randal Run 5k

Strong running by Daniel McLornan who won the Randal 5k in 19:42.

UUJ Jumps and Throws meet results

Great results all round in long and triple jump to start off the jumps season.

Jana McQuillan came 1st in U17 Girls long jump with an impressive 4.90m.

Zane McQuillan also managed a result of 5.28m, very respectable with no training so far this season.

Daniel McCullough achieved a jump of 5.66m in the U19 boys long jump event which is very promising for the rest of the season, as well as a high jump result of 1.55m.

Also competing in the high jump was Tom Poulter who started of his season very well with a jump of 1.80m.

And in the triple jump, Jonathan Cochrane won the U18 boys event with an impressive jump of 13.22m.
