America here I come! thumbnailParker Bonnes: off to the States in August next year to compete in the US Kids World Championships! GB4724D

PARKER Bonnes will compete in the US Kids World Championships in America in August next year!
The five-year-old Ballymena lad's fine finish in this year's Wee Wonders Open Golf Championship secured him the trip to Pinehurst (August 2-4).
Earlier in the year Parker turned in top performances in Blackpool and Sligo to book his place in the Wee Wonders Open.
The Ballykeel Primary School pupil went through to take part in the Grand Finals at St Andrews in August.
Meanwhile, at the 2017 Northern Ireland Open at Galgorm Castle Golf Club little Parker watched quite a bit of the action - and Tournament Ambassador Michael Hoey, who was competing, very sportingly took time to talk with Parker.
And Ballymena pro Dermot McElroy did the same, telling the lad his first Wee Wonders win was when he was NINE.
And he told the young golfer - "Keep at it", as the countdown to the August Wee Wonders Championships - the premier event for 5-12 year-olds - was underway.
* In the Junior NI Open at Galgorm Castle Golf Club Parker finished joint winner in his Section.
Winners were - Ella Procter (Girls 9 and Under); Parker Bonnes and Brendan Mulgrew (Boys 9 and Under); Katie Poots and Tara Laverty (Girls 10 and Over) and Jonathan Davison (Boys 10 and Over).
