CHARLOTTE Dixon can reflect on a very successful season just past - and is already turning her attention to 2018!
The Buckna competitor told Guardian Sport she has big plans for next year with main focus on the European Young Rider Championships.
Highlight this year for 21-year-old Charlotte was winning her first senior international event.
She adds this to the Junior one of 2014.
Charlotte won the senior title, onboard 'Zermie', in the Millstreet International Horse Trials in County Cork.
“We were competing in the CIC* Class which had over 70 competitors," Charlotte told Guardian Sport.
“'Zermie and I led the field from the Dressage Phase on a score of 40.1. Once we got this lead we were determined not to lose it."
Charlotte said they managed to jump clear in both Show Jumping and Cross Country to secure the win.
