Rebekah fires in hat-trick

Thursday, 26 October 2017

BALLYMENA Ladies 1s had a tough match in Senior one this week against Omagh - but came away 4-2 winners.
Both sides had the elements to deal with persistent rain making play difficult for the majority of the match.
Ballymena started quickly taking their opportunities with accurate passing through midfield from Emma Clarke and Beth McFerran.
A strong ball into the circle from captain Clare Gillespie was converted by Rebekah Reynolds.
Omagh equalised soon after.
The home side fought back with strong tackling from Catherine McCracken, Grace McCready and Susanne Morrison who pressurised Omagh. Emily Morrison created chances on the right flank allowing Emma Clarke to take full advantage of putting Ballymena in front again.
Following the half time break Omagh rallied with accurate passing and fast paced forwards.
The Braid girls however pulled together, Kirsten Young and Clare Gillespie advancing play.
