‘Glenavon beating may kick-start season’ - hopes Jeffrey thumbnailDavid Jeffrey: taking Ballymena United to Windsor Park this weekend.

BALLYMENA United manager David Jeffrey hopes the 6-1 hammering by Glenavon at the weekend kick starts their season, writes Shaun O'Neill.
“ I am hoping today (Saturday) will do for us what our opening 6-0 defeat by Crusaders did last year," he said.
Last season United went to Seaview in the Premiership opener and were tanked 6-0 - but they learned quickly and within a few matches went on a TEN game unbeaten run.
United face the formidable force of Linfield this Saturday at Windsor Park (3pm).
The Blues have won all three of their Premier games while United have lost two and drawn one - conceding 11 goals and scoring just two.
Boss Jeffrey admits the weekend hammering was his worst day in office since coming to the Showgrounds.
