THERE were no surprises here, nor were any expected, as the Antrim champions blew Rossa away in the first round of this season's Antrim senior football championship at Ahoghill.
Now in the process of another unique treble, league, O'Cahan Cup and championship. John Brennan's men look to have the wherewithal to do just that.
In conditions far from ideal it was the Cargin stalwarts Kieran Close, Michael Magill and Tomas McCann who did most of the demolition work, scoring 3-10 between them in a full forward line which will trouble the best in the land.
While Rossa huffed and puffed and were still in the game when they trailed by just five at the break they were eventually blown out of the water when the champions moved up a gear in the second half.
Close, McCann and John Carron were into scoring mode early with points before Deaghlan Murphy got the Belfast side away after six minutes, but they were in deep water by the 20th minute when they trailed by seven.
