Back to back victories see Cargin tops

THE cream is certainly coming to the top in the Antrim senior football league with Cargin, the holders, back in control.
In a week which saw them demolish Aldergrove 3-20 to 0-7 in a midweek game they set about dismantling Ahoghill on Saturday evening.
However, they found the St Mary's side a tougher nut to crack but did manage a five point victory, 2-20 2-15, after a good encounter at Toome.
Despite leading from trap to line and at one stage opening up an eight point gap when Paul McCann fired home their second goal, Ahoghill hung on gamely and a couple of late Donal Graham goals suggested that they have a lot more to offer. Other sides beware!
Paul McCann got the champions away with an early goal and the St Mary's lads must have been wondering was this going to be a repeat of the hammering handed out to Aldergrove.
When Gerard Graham and Danny O'Neill sterred over St Mary's points the men in red and black were back in business.
