Andrew wins J&R Keys Rivers Trophy

THE J.&R. Keys sponsored Meeting of the Rivers Trophy was won by Andrew McLarnon (8) with 40 points.
Overall runner-up was Sean McCormick (6) with 37 pts (BB9).
Early cloud lifted mid morning to make for a pleasant day for the golfers.
At halfway in Division 1 McLarnon held a one point advantage from Vincent Miskelly (5) and Stephen Mailey (10).
Michael Alexander (5), Joshua Hill (4) and McCormick were two, three and four point respectively further back.
Through The Maple a 'ding' at 12 by McLarnon saw his lead reduced to one point by an improving Alexander (four pars).
Mailey and a much improved McCormick (a birdie and three pars) were a
further point back.
Hill and Miskelly were two more points further behind.
McLarnon (bogey) was joined by Alexander (par) at the next but regained the lead by a point up the Grove.
McCormick and Mailey were another point behind with Hill and Miskelly a further two points away.
McLarnon increased his lead over the closing two holes with a two par finish to win by three points from Alexander (two bogeys) and McCormick (bogey, par).
Runner-up was McCormick with a better back nine.
Alexander won Division 1 and there was an exciting finish for the placings with Mailey (double bogey, par), Hill (par, birdie) and Miskelly (bogey, birdie) finishing together a point behind Alexander.
