History making Eimear ! thumbnail

EIMEAR McKee made history at the weekend after becoming the first female ever in All Saints ABC to win an Irish title!
The 15-year-old was boxing in Cork and beat Danielle McSweeney, from Riverstown ABC, in the final of Junior 1 (15 years) 57kgs Division.
“Eimear won the title in style," summed up coach Dermot Hamill. "She produced her best performance of the season against the highly rated McSweeney."
Coach Hamill told Guardian Sport that Eimear's key to victory was switch hitting with left and right hooks as her opponent constantly pressed forward!
“Fast left jabs and ferocious combinations from Eimear forced the Referee to give McSweeney a standing 8 count. Eimear romped home to take the gold medal on points! It was a fabulous display of counter punching and lateral movement," said a very proud Hamill.
Eimear only joined All Saints back in August last year - the first female in the club's history.
