Gold for Lauren in Irish Indoors thumbnailLauren Roy of City of Lisburn AC, Co Antrim, on her way to winning the U18 Girl's 200m event, ahead of Ciara Deely of Kilkenny City Harriers AC, Co Kilkenny, who finished second.

SPRINTER Lauren Roy certainly made her mark in the Irish Life Health Juvenile Indoor Championships in County Westmeath, writes Shaun O'Neill.
The 16-year-old Ballymena runner won the Under-18 Girls 200 metres title in style.
Lauren, a pupil at Slemish College, is a member of City of Lisburn Athletic Club.
At the weekend at the AIT Interantional Arena Lauren beat Ciara Deely, of Kilkenny City Harriers AC, to take victory.
At the Mid and East Antrim Council Sports Awards in Larne Leisure Centre earlier in the year Lauren was named Junior Sportsperson of the Year and the School Sporting Performance of the Year.
The sprint ace has her sights set on securing a place in the Youth Olympics this Summer.
