Jeffrey enjoying the management system at United!

Thursday, 6 April 2017

DAVID Jeffrey much prefers management to questions and answers, writes Shaun O'Neill.
The Ballymena United boss speaks highly of how the club Board gave him a blank page, and told him to get on with it.
And so far the system is working very well with Jeffrey and his assistant Bryan McLoughlin guiding the Sky Blues to their first ever top six Premiership finish - and victory in the Northern Ireland League Cup final.
To mark the Cup final success Jeffrey, his team and backroom staff, and the members of the Board were hosted at a special reception last Thursday night in The Braid (Ballymena Town Hall).
Speaking in the Mayor's Parlour manager Jeffrey said "you are only as good as the people we surround ourselves with."
He spoke of the Board allowing him to "get on with it" !
“To be allowed to get on with the job and not having to answer question, after question, after question is fantastic," outlined Jeffrey.
The Ballymena manager was very quick to thank Mid and East Antrim Mayor Wales for hosting the special reception.
He said with Linfield he had attended receptions at the City Hall and Stormont - but neither measured up to the warmth and hospitality delivered by Mid and East Antrim Council!
