All Saints boxers strike gold! thumbnailTyler McMullan, Frank Duffin and Eimear McKee. GB11Box2.p44.jpg

ALL Saints struck 5 gold and a silver at the recent County Antrim Championships in Andersontown leisure centre.
Tom Stokes (Bellaghy) Tyler McMullan (Antrim) Frank Duffin (Moneyglass) Sam McCullough (Kells) and Eimear McKee (Portglenone) all took gold whilst Micheal Stokes (Bellaghy) had to settle for Silver.
All five boxers have now qualified for a shot at the Irish title in Dublin in a few weeks
It was Eimear McKee who lifted the first title and got the ball rolling in her 15 Year old 57kg decider. Text book boxing was the way coach Barry Graham described her performance as the referee brought the contest to a halt in the 3rd round as Mckee's dominance proved too much for her opponent.
This was a special title for All Saints as Eimear is the first female boxer in the clubs history and now that she's qualified herself for a shot at the Irish title we are hoping for more history to be made by her. She just joined us in August of last year and she is a fantastic trainer who always puts 100% into every session and is always keen to learn and improve.
Tyler McMullan had to come through 3 contests in 4 days to claim his Gold medal. Tyler now up to 66kgs from the 52 kgs in which he boxed at last season didn't seem to find the massive jump in decisions too hard as he cruised to 3 fine wins to claim his place in Dublin. He's feeling very comfortable and confident in his new weight division.
