BALLYMENA Academy's interest in this year's Danske Bank Ulster Schools' Cup ended on Monday afternoon at the Kinspan Stadium.
John Andrews' side were well beaten - 41-8 - by RBAI.
With 40 minutes gone Bruce Houston got Academy's first points on the board with a penalty.
Academy's other points came from a try by Azur Allison.
Ballymena Academy had beaten Dalriada and Wallace High in previous rounds.
The big travelling support has a disappointing return journey back to Ballymena.
The last time Ballymena Academy won the Schools' Cup was back in 2010.
On that day they beat BRA 10-7 in the St. Patrick's Day final at the then called Ravenhill.
