BALLYMENA RFC won the Kyle Cup at Eaton Park on Boxing Day.
They came away from the annual fixture 64-14 winners.
Last week in Guardian Sport Ballymena head coach, Andy Graham, said they intended taking the game more seriously than they had done in the past.
And their convincing win will have confirmed they did just that!
Yesterday (Monday) Graham fielded a mixed team of First, Second and Thirds players on what was a cold, crisp but dry afternoon.
From the start Ballymena showed dominance in every aspect of the game, playing open, running rugby.
Their efforts were rewarded early with a try in the second minute.
This form of play was to dictate the whole game and Dungannon struggled throughout.
The game was a very one sided affair with Ballymena taking the spoils.
Ian McIlrath, IRFU Junior Vice President, presented the Cup to John Nichol, the Ballymena captain.
* Meanwhile, on Saturday Ballymena return to Ulster League action with a home clash against Banbridge.
On January 7 Ballymena are aware to Dungannon, also in the Ulster campaign, and on January 14 Graham's side are at home to Armagh, in the Ulster series.
Ballymena's next All Ireland League game is away to Buccaneers on Saturday, January 28.
