ACE Ballymena Ladies club bowler Sarah-Jane Curran is off to New Zealand - to compete in the World Bowls Championship!
The 31-year-old, along with the Ireland team, sets off today (Tuesday) for the dream competition trip of a lifetime.
“It will be my first ever visit to New Zealand," Sarah-Jane told Guardian Sport on Monday morning.
“I am really looking forward to playing in the World event, and I intend doing my very best to bring honours back."
The event is the pinnacle of the bowling world.
Sarah-Jane, along with four ladies and five men, make up Ireland's team.
The World event is held over two weeks - finishing on December 11.
The Championship sees the top 31 qualified countries compete across four disciplines - singles, pairs, triples and fours.
