Ambitious plans for United Ladies thumbnailBallymena All Stars ladies soccer side - hoping the club’s planning application is given the green light.

Ballymena United Allstars Ladies football club have put ambitious plans in motion - for their own new ground, floodlights, clubhouse and stand, writes sports editor Shaun O'Neill.
They detailed all in a Planning Application in last week's Guardian.
Now all at United Allstars hope they get the green light for the project which will be the envy of many.
An Allstars spokesman confirmed to Guardian Sport that there is much excitement at the club as its waits news on the outcome of the application.
"The proposal was first muted last Summer," he said.
“Some members said it would be nice to have our own set-up, and after some serious thought it was decided to go ahead with such plans".
The new United Allstars set-up plans to be based at Rankinstown Road, just outside Ballymena. At present the Allstars are based at Ballymena Showgrounds.
In last week's Planning Application the proposal read - Sports facility consisting of football pitch with floodlights, car-park, club-house and stand.
Guardian Sport understands that the reason why the club is keen to move is because due to Ballymena Council carrying out essential ground maintenance from April on - when their season commences - they sometimes have difficulty acquiring pitches. United Ladies Allstars have two main teams, Seniors and Reserves. It also caters for Under-12s and 14s.
The seniors play in the Northern Ireland Women's FA Premier League.
At present 60 girls/women are associated with the Allstars.
