JBE Building Services Ltd. have been named as Ballymena United's secondary sponsors, writes Shaun O'Neill.
United are delighted that the company, based at Lamont House, Braid River Business Park, Railway Street, Ballymena, have taken on this role.
Details were announced at Lamont House last Wednesday evening.
Company Managing Director, Mr. John Blair, who is also on the United Management Committee, outlined that as part of the deal the JBE logo will appear on the back of United shirts.
This is a new and innovative step for Ballymena United.
“I am delighted to be involved as secondary sponsor of United, and I hope that JBE's backing will in some way assist Ballymena in achieving its aim to become a top three club in the Province," said Mr. Blair, who has been a lifelong supporter of the Showgrounds side.
News of JBE's sponsorship deal comes just a week after main sponsor Norman McBurney, of McBurney Transport, announced that he was extending his financial backing of the Sky Blues by three more years!
Mr. McBurney, United's main sponsor for the past 21 years, is delighted with JBE's involvement.
Last week Guardian Sport revealed McBurney Transport's three-year sponsorship package extension - which is one of the most lucrative in Irish League history.
It and further enhances the strong financial position of the club.
United Chairman, Mr Robert Cupples, thanked Mr Blair for his very generous sponsorship and highlighted the progress being made by the club off the field as it strives to achieve success on the pitch under the guidance of new manager Roy Walker.
