FORMER Ballymena United player and manager Arthur Stewart passed away on Saturday.
He was 76 years old.
The midfielder, who also played for Derby County and Northern Ireland, saw his career take off in 1957 as a 15-year-old at the Model School when he won his first Northern Ireland Schoolboy International cap.
He signed for Alec McCrea's Ballymena United.
Four years later he left United to join Glentoran where he became part of one of the most successful Glens teams in the mid and late 60s, winning the Gold Cup in 1963, Irish League Championship title in 1964 and Irish Cup the following year.
