Huge sum raised for 'Jingle All The Way' children's hospice campaign thumbnail

'JINGLE All The Way' in Ballymena has raised an amazing 51,539 for Northern Ireland Children's Hospice!
The staggering amount collected was unveiled  last Thursday  at a special celebration/thank-you evening in Montgomerys in the town when it was also revealed that Ballymena lifted more than any other town in Northern Ireland.
Last year the Ballymena Support Group of the NI Children's Hospice decided to hold a Jingle All The Way fund raiser in the run up to Christmas.
Sports clubs, groups, clubs, and individuals were invited to get onboard and raise cash for the cause.
And the Ballymena Support Group plan to do it all again in November this year. The parade day,/cavalcade around the town centre will take place on Saturday, November 24 (3pm).
Meanwhile, there was more brilliant news at the  evening when Ronan McCann, President of Ballymena Borough Chamber of Commerce and Industry,  revealed that they are making Northern Ireland Children's Hospice their chosen charity for the next five years!
Community fund raiser Catherine O'Hara was given a standing ovation after her heartfelt appeal for more hospice funding. Full report and lots more pictures in this week's Ballymena Guardian
