Michelin land deal could mean new jobs thumbnail

THE Guardian understands that a major property deal which could potentially have significant employment benefits for the entire  area is being thrashed out between Mid and East Antrim Borough Council's top brass and representatives of Michelin.
Anne Donaghy, Chief Executive of Mid and East Antrim Borough Council, and local political representatives, particularly MP Ian Paisley, have been heavily involved in the process, we understand.
And, if agreement is reached between all the interested parties, a full breakdown of what the deal entails for local area could be unveiled within weeks.
Sources have told the Guardian that negotiations are nearing completion and that there are no stumbling blocks on the horizon.
