Mayor condemns racist attacks on Ballymena homes

Thursday, 14 December 2017

THE Mayor of Mid and East Antrim, Councillor Paul Reid, has condemned a racist attack on homes in Ballymena.
The PSNI has appealed for information following the incident in the Harryville area of the town.
Cllr. Reid said: "I totally condemn those behind these vile slogans.
“On Wednesday morning people within our community awoke to disgusting messages on their homes.
“We stand united against all forms of hate in Mid and East Antrim, and there is no place in our society for the perpetrators of such acts.
“The police investigation is at a very early stage and I would urge anybody with any information to contact the PSNI on 101 or the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
The incident happened late on Tuesday evening or the early hours of Wednesday in the Casement Street area.
