BALLYMENA United Chairman John Taggart says he hopes Council will allocate half the visitors' stand to Sky Blue fans - IF the County Antrim Shield final is played at the Showgrounds!
Mr. Taggart has written to Mid and East Antrim Council requesting the additional seats .
The Toals Shield final - Ballymena United v Crusaders on January 23 next year - is expected to be all ticket.
David Jeffrey's side will bring a massive support to the Shield showpiece - and the United Chairman wants to make sure ALL are catered for!
Speaking at the sell-out Blair International Transport sponsored match and corporate lunch in the Des Allen Suite at the weekend Mr. Taggart said he had written to Council asking if the final is played at the Showgrounds could United be allocated half the visiting stand - as well, of course, as the 1,700 seats on the home section!
“We will wait and see what happens," summed up the Chairman.
Injury list
Meanwhile, attacking full-back Steven McCullough has joined the lengthy United injury list!
The defender took a rattle on the shin/knee against Ballinamallard United at the weekend, and had to be substituted three minutes from the end.
