THE Ballymena Inner Wheel Club recently held a very successful 'Crazy Whist' evening at the Michelin Athletic Club recently, raising more than 600 for local charities.
It was attended by members from neighbouring clubs as well as a large number of friends. The Ballymena Club has been in existence in the town for over 70 years and it is part of one of the largest women's voluntary service organisations in the world - currently there are around 100000 members in over 100 countries.
Inner Wheel has three core objectives - to promote true friendship, encourage the ideals of personal service and foster international understanding.
The local Club aims to achieve each of these through the various activities and charitable support in which they are involved.
Members meet on the second Tuesday of each month in Leighinmohr House Hotel and they organise a variety of events throughout the year.
More information on Inner Wheel can be found in the organisation's website -
