Countdown on for big ‘Jingle All The Way’ cavalcade in town centre!

Thursday, 16 November 2017

THE 'Jingle All The Way' fund raising cavalcade in Ballymena takes place on Saturday, November 25 (2pm).
Proceeds from the town centre collection that day will go to the Northern Ireland Children's Hospice.
Months of planning have been put into the event, which features the Santa double-decker Bus - with the man himself on board!
Floats of all sorts and over 200 walkers will do a circuit of the town centre before finishing up at The Braid (Town Hall).
Mid and East Antrim Mayor, Cllr. Paul Reid, is hosting a special reception in the Braid for the Ballymena Branch of the NI Children's Hospice - the main organisers of the fund raiser.
It takes place prior to the cavalcade getting underway.
Glarryford, Lisnamurrican and Ahoghill Farmers' Clubs will have floats and it is hoped a Chitty Chitty Bang Bang car, Homer Simpson's car, a car from Disney and Vintage vehicles will grace the route.
Broughshane Pipe Band, and possibly others, will parade.
And there is talk that Santa and Elves may well tackle the journey on motorbikes!
For the past few months sporting clubs, groups and individuals have been organising their own fund raisers - with all money raised going to 'Jingle All The Way'!
A recent novice fight night, held by Ballymena's All Saints boxing club, raised £600.
Last Wednesday McLarnon's Ramble Inn hosted a Gala Cabaret and Dance to raise funds for NI Children's Hospice.
Ballymena Runners and Fit N Running clubs are organising fund raisers for the cause.
