A BALLYMENA tourist guide has discovered long lost relatives from Canada following a "total and utter coincidence" after they booked a trip on one of his tours!
Marty McAuley has recently established himself as a local tourist guide and has been inundated with people eager to avail of the service, including visitors from the USA and Canada.
One of the Canadians, retired civil servant, Suzanne, contacted Marty by email to ask if she could book two places on the bus tour, one for her and one for her sister, Leah.
She informed him that they were staying in the area at the Adair Arms Hotel and were eager to visit Cullybackey as they were researching their family tree.
She said she was particularly interested in gathering information about the McKeown family and to Marty's amazement, the family she was researching actually turned out to be his own!
