All Saints Fail To Make Antrim Minor Football Final

Thursday, 5 October 2017

AGHAGALLON 3-14, All Saint's Ballymena 2-7: The bid by All Saints from Ballymena to set up an Antrim minor football championship shootout with Rossa failed at Portglenone on Saturday afternoon when Aghagallon proved a step too far.
There were ten points in it at the end with the St Marys lads thoroughly deserving their success.
Aghagallon were the better side and led by Finton Campbell who scored four early points in the opening quarter, followed by a Sean Donnelly goal in eighteen minute they went on to lead 1-8 to 0-3 at the break.
All Saint's looked an entirely different outfit in the second when management drafted in a number of replacements, and none was more effective than Jack White who banged home a couple of goals. His first at the end of the third quarter followed by a couple of Shea O'Brien points had Ballymena right back in the thick of it, just a goal back at 1-6 to 1-9.
Back came the Loughshore side with Daniel Hannon bagging their second goal and an Adam Loughran point restoring their seven point advantage.
