United and Translink launch new Shuttle Service! thumbnailAt the launch of the Ballymena United/Translink pilot scheme.

BALLYMENA United have teamed up with Translink - to pilot a project of busing visiting football fans to and from the station!
The trial venture, the first of its kind in the Province, will take supporters from
* Coleraine * Linfield * Glentoran * Crusaders and * Cliftonville from the bus/rail station right to the Showgrounds and back.
Translink's Route Manager, Veronica McKinney, told Guardian Sport that the venture will initially be tried for FIVE Premiership matches.
“The shuttle service will allow fans to travel in comfort to and from the Showgrounds on the match days in question," outlined Ms. McKinney.
Details of the shuttle bus service were announced at Ballymena Railway Station on Friday morning.
Attending the launch were United Chairman, Mr. John Taggart, Vice-Chairman, Don Stirling, Translink Route Manager, Ms. McKinney, Conductors' Manager, Mr. Rodney Ferris, and Andie McQuilkin, Translink's Customer Services Co-Ordinator.
The new fans shuttle service will commence when the new season kicks-off in August.
Dates for the visit of the FIVE teams to Ballymena will become known when the new fixture list is issued.
