Choir concerts raise over 1,500 for Meningitis Research

Thursday, 4 May 2017

TWO concerts by Ballymena's Seven Towers Male Voice Choir raised 1,573 for Meningitis Research Foundation.
“Thanks to the generosity of the choir and the concert goers, Meningitis Research Foundation are delighted to receive such an impressive donation," said Paula Donaghy.
The Seven Towers concerts were held in the Braid Arts Centre over two nights recently.
Both drew capacity crowds to hear guest artists, soprano Rebecca Murphy and young musical theatre singer, Sarah Adams.
Paula explained that as a charity they rely almost entirely on voluntary donations to continue their vital work in Northern Ireland.
“The funding provided by the collections will help fund research, raise awareness of meningitis and septicaemia, operate our Freefone helpline and support those individuals and families affected," she said.
At Meningitis Research Foundation (MRF) they are driven by the call of people who have experienced the devastating effects of meningitis and septicaemia.
