Mid and East Antrimís first Community Plan to set out priorities for well-being of local citizens

Thursday, 23 March 2017

MID and East Antrim Borough Council has approved its first ever Community Plan, which sets out a long term vision for the social, economic and environmental well-being of the area from 2017 to 2023.
The plan was approved at a special council meeting last week and will be launched at the beginning of April.
It sets out priorities for Mid and East Antrim under the five themes of community safety and cohesion, environment, education, sustainable jobs and tourism and health and well-being.
Council's draft plan was the subject of a recent eight week consultation period during which views and comments were invited from the public.
Following consideration of the responses to the draft an amended plan was brought before council for approval.
Mayor, DUP Councillor Audrey Wales, said she was delighted to welcome members to what was a very important meeting.
Chief Executive, Anne Donaghy, said Mid and East Antrim was one of only seven councils "on target" to publish their Community Plan.
