Nearly 3,000 voters removed from North Antrim

NEARLY 3,000 voters have been removed from the Electoral Register in North Antrim since last year's European Referendum, the Guardian can reveal this week.
A total of 2,795 voters were removed from the electoral register on December 1, 2016, as they did not return an electoral registration form during the last canvass of elections in 2013.
The Electoral Office wrote three times to those affected, most recently autumn 2016.
Anyone who did not return a form at this time was, as required by law was removed from the register.
Those who did not return a form, but wish to vote on March 2 must complete and return an electoral registration form by Tuesday, February 14.
